"Im a Midwest-grown kid who loves hip hop beats and bass lines. I make the music I want to hear, and I play to every occasion."
Disc jockeying is an art form that is being constantly morphed, but Central Illinois touts a local DJ and musician that strays away from any new-age, electronically structured performance. Peoria's own B Löwd is all about old school mixing, with new school sounds and technology. He is a performer who seeks not to play whats "trendy," but spins what the moment calls for, in the realm of bass-driven music. Aside from the on-the-fly DJ sets and unheard-of double drops (of any given tempo), B Löwd is music producer known for completely avoiding the mainstream sound. His recent full-length release "Backward Triangle" ranges from dark and minimal 2 step, to cheeky yet talking "synth-strumentals." His constant motivation is not about creating music to be used as a tool of escape and chaos, but to explore how even minimal sounds can affect the mind in a positive way (even if the party shows up to listen most times). When looking for Good Vibes, a wobble-wielding artist / DJ and a person who is destined to broaden bass music as a whole, do not look past B Löwd.
